I spent the weekend in Cortona, Italy. This small city is located in the hills of Tuscany. It's charming, and the view from the top is absolutely spectacular. I stayed with a friend who introduced me to some of Cortona's townspeople. Lovely families, restaurant owners, and even the town drunk =D - More pictures and stories coming this week.

Gina, this sounds like a great week-end! I am tuscan but never been in Cortona!...I have only read "under the tuscan sun" by Frances Mayes, which was set in Cortona. I hope you'll post some photos of the village soon.
